The Fool
"When the student is ready - the teacher appears." How many times do we hear that statement? How do I know I'm ready? How do I know the teacher? Suppose the teacher that I think is the teacher is just another New Age Loony Tune - looking to play 10 minute GURU? It's hard enough being on this path filled with self doubt and confusion, outgrowing my family, finding great difficulty communicating with my friends and moving through levels of rebirthing, re-thinking, re-living past lives only to be told that my CHAKRAS are frozen solid, my KUNDALINI seems to be totally asleep and my left and right hemispheres of my brain are not integrating, but DISINTEGRATING?
Well, I've been there - and I've got some great advice for you. NO great mystical message to add to the already overflowing pile of MOULDY mystical messages. You don't have to re-learn how to breath, to eat or to tune into your bellybutton. All you have to do is become THE FOOL. "Oh great" you say - "become the Fool - I started this journey of great spiritual development just to become a fool? I could have done that without all this mumbo-jumbo."
The secret of life is to have a good time. Play, be silly, enjoy yourself, and when you can begin to do that, other people around you start doing it too! But the price for this is a great one. You cannot be afraid, you cannot doubt, and the hardest thing required is to surrender totally to the scheme of things.
"How do I know what the scheme of things is?" you say. It is easy. You have it locked up inside of you, in your centre of gravity, just a little up and behind your belly-button. That's where your original job description is kept so you won't lose it, and when you stop being afraid of life, when you stop doubting everything around you by thinking too much, when you stop trying to make your life happen and just let it happen ... you are surrendering to your centre of gravity - your inner tuition - YOUR TEACHER!! Then you begin to become the Fool - taking time to live life instead of just surviving it.
Remember - the Fool sat at the side of the King as his court jester - to advise and be magic.
Magic means wisdom (The three Magi in the Bible were wise men) so when you've tried all the other roads to enlightenment, try mine. It's not as easy as you think, all this fun and happiness.
You might, just might, end up liking yourself and your life.
In tarot this represents ultimate freedom in this life...the rising above the material 3rd dimensional plane we see as Life. It is actually the illusion of life that breeds fear and restiction...you need to trust that you can rise above this to truely become NO-THING and then EVERYTHING
